Hi! I’m Carrie and I love kids! While I was at Christ For the Nations Bible Institute from 2003-2005, the Lord directed me specifically to children’s ministry. Having a part in bringing children to Jesus and watching them grow in Him is a wonderful blessing. I am so privileged to be part of this ministry!

My first Children’s Pastor position was at Christian Life Center, an Assembly of God church in Pollock Pines, CA from October 2005 to October 2006. I served under a great leader, Pastor Chris Holt, and worked with an excellent team of volunteers. On Sundays, I led service for 1st through 5th graders using Willie George SuperChurch curriculum and later, Kidmo curriculum. On Wednesday nights, we picked up children living in the community and brought them to church. We enjoyed a potluck meal together and then worshipped God and learned His Word. Faith Weaver Friends is the curriculum we used on Wednesdays. For the summer, I wrote a day camp curriculum called, “Splash”. The worship team wrote their own music and other volunteers created the logo, decorations, and crafts. Everyone came together as a team and day camp was a successful blast! What I learned most at Christian Life Center is that with a committed group of people, you can do anything!

In October 2006, I received an invitation to Coastal Christian Center, an Assembly of God church in Encinitas, CA. They were looking for a Children’s Pastor. While I loved San Diego, I felt the timing was a bit off because I had only been at Christian Life Center for one year. The Lord however, made it clear that this was His timing and I obeyed. Little did I know that God had some very big blessings in store for me. Marc Patch, the music director and I were married in June 2007. Two years later, our daughter Annabelle Joy was born! A husband and baby were at the top of my dream list and God answered those prayers very quickly in Encinitas, CA!

At Coastal Christian Center I directed children’s ministry from birth to age 12. I also served as a Mom's In Prayer leader, led three after-school clubs (Art, Faith & Character and Good News Club), and served in various other areas such as administration, small groups, youth, and media. Some big highlights at Coastal Christian Center were the summer Vacation Bible Schools and Pumpkin Jam Harvest Festivals. I love orchestrating events and bringing the body of Christ together in order to serve others. It's the best!

In December of 2014, I accepted a position as Children's Pastor at First Assembly of God church in Chickasha, OK. I worked with a great team of people committed to reaching the lost. I led children's church each Sunday and Wed. night. On Tuesdays, I led two chapel services for the daycare children - so sweet! In the summer of 2015 we had the first VBS in 20 years at the church. It was such a success we had another VBS in 2016 with over 50 volunteers and 19 children came to Christ! It was awesome! I feel so blessed to serve the Lord!
